Monemvasía

Saturday 5th June – Monemvasía 36:40.977N 23:02.356E
In the early hours of the morning a thunderstorm arrived; the lightning was spectacular and the thunder very loud and very close to the lightning – it was definitely overhead. The thunderstorm continued and the rain started, pounding on the deck in large drops. So began the day.
It was not a day for using any electrical equipment on a yacht. The thunderstorm continued on and off all morning and the weather didn’t clear until after lunch.
Once the weather cleared, the large yacht moved on and about 10 minutes later, the owner of the fishing boat turned up (to make sure it was gone, I guess, and check over his boat).
We went ashore late afternoon whilst the weather allowed and did a bit of provisioning and bought some more wine from the nice lady in the butchers; Richard bought some meat too.
This evening it has remained reasonably calm.
