Vilamoura

Monday 25th February – Vilamoura 37:04.567N 8:07.191W
Although the morning was cloudy with a little rain, it cleared up by lunchtime and we were able get on with some outside jobs.
Richard cycled over to Quateira and restocked at the supermarket.
I was able to do some washing – I can tell that the weather is getting warmer and there is more strength in the sun as the clothes now dry noticeably quicker.
This afternoon Richard put a second coat of varnish on the casing for fitting the microwave.
We then went for a potter around the marina in the dinghy. We were going to venture up the river adjacent to the marina but there was a lot of flotsam in the water and there was netting across under the bridge a short way up and so we think that we were not supposed to go any further.
We came back and looked around the other yachts in the marina – there are a lot more motor boats here than at any other marina we have visited since we left the UK.
We had a quiet night in with a DVD and book.
