Midday weather and sea Thin cloudy warm 22.7C 15 -20 kts Swell 3m confused waves.

The wind strengthened through the day so the main was reefed before dark. Dinner of Travis's Cottage pie, green beans and carrots was eaten in the cockpit in style, and the routine of night watches started.

After midnight the wind strengthened again and by the 0300 watch change we were experiencing 35 knts. An hour later it was raining torrentially with gusts up to 45 kts. It seemed a longish night but by dawn the wind was moderating and as the morning progressed the rain gave way to thin sunshine with high cloud. We are hoping for boring again tonight.
