Long low swell with small
following wavelets
Temperature: 29.6C Distance to go: 154.2Nm We have had a good wind on the starboard quarter since yesterday which has
enabled us to sail with cruising chute and main making good speed. The only
problems have been with the waves which, from time to time, knock us off course.
The autohelm cannot respond quickly enough or over-corrects and the cruising
chute collapses with a bang. It requires a diligent watchkeeper to leap into
action and correct the steering before the sail collapses but, inevitably, we
are sometimes found lacking in that regard.
A large pod of dolphins joined to welcome us yesterday evening.
With the forecast annd distance to run it looks as if we will be in
Barbados tomorrow morning.
