Our ship is still scheduled to arrive late today or early tomorrow morning.

There is a problem with dock space because of regular visiting cruise ships so unloading may be a long process with the ship having one unloading day followed by a day at anchor in the bay before being able to return to the dock again to continue unloading,

We checked Blue Magic in at the shipping agent yesterday and then took a trip to the marina to have a look.

The marina is huge and consequently lacks the character of most marinas but it has all facilities including a shuttle ferry and bus into town and several boat yards on site.

There is one area in town full of Chandlers, upholsterers, electrical and all boat services you could ever want. We spent a couple of hours in West Marine yesterday getting odd bits that have been unavailable to us for so long and generally looking in awe at the stock available.

We have been discovering Marmaris and warming to it, the Turkish people are very friendly and welcoming. Last night we took the agent’s recommendation and went to a delightful local restaurant away from the crowds, nestled in the hills overlooking the town. Today we are planning to try the Turkish baths !
