Saturday 5^th June saw us in Bora Bora, anchored off the main town.

We caught a free fast catamaran to the airport and met Sandie & Malc off their flight from Tahiti.

They had travelled for two days and two nights to get here and it was so good to see them.

Thank goodness – the staff have arrived armed with homemade fruit cake and Victoria sandwich that miraculously survived the trip packed in soft holdalls !

We soon had them settled on the boat and we motored around to a famous restaurant called ‘Bloody Marys’

where we had booked a table for Malc & Sandies’ first night.

We picked up a buoy and it was a dinghy ride to the restaurant’s boat pontoon.

Malc had lobster, his favourite, I had swordfish, Sandie Steak and Mark chose the ribs – it was delicious and such a treat !

We had to explain to our new visitors that this restaurant

was a special treat and certainly not representative

of the usual eating places that we frequent.

Just so that they were not under any illusions

…it will be downhill from now on !
