Roach Coaches !

We are moored right in the centre of bustling The marina is quite open and there is a lovely breeze
blowing through the boats, quite a pretty site with all have our dress flags up.
We have explored the local ‘Roulottes’ for
dinner and they are brilliant. There is an allocated square in the town where the food vans
set up each night with table and chairs, spit roasts, barbeques and huge woks. The area is so clean with a large central building with
toilets and also facilities for the vans to do their washing up. There is a lot of Chinese cooking as well as the traditional
French Polynesian raw and barbequed fish of all types but mainly tuna. The food is all cooked fresh and is delicious and most
importantly cheap at £10 per head. The only disadvantage is there is no alcohol
served, so no wine with dinner, we are coping with sundowners before
we go out and nightcaps when we come back !
Paul celebrated his birthday with a meal at the ‘roach
coaches’ followed by cocktails at a bar with live music. |
