After a lovely peaceful night anchored off Whitehaven Beach, we sailed slowly around to a fjord like inlet on Hook Island and we went ashore to look at some aboriginal cave paintings.

We had lunch on board and then set sail for Woodwark bay, just 15 miles along the coast, situated on the mainland.

This leaves us 70 miles to sail along the coast to Upstart Bay tomorrow. We are planning to leave around 7.00am in the morning and with winds forecast of 20-25 knots hopefully we should arrive late afternoon.

Our ultimate destination for Friday  is Townsville, where Rob & Julie & Kath leave us to fly home.
