Darwin

Position 12:25.80S 130:49.16E The tide pushed us along at speeds of up to 11.5 knots and so
we arrived early ! We anchored in Luckily it all passed over after 20mins or so and we enjoyed
a quiet night – catch up time after all those night watches, we slept for
nearly 12 hours - bliss. Today we took a long dinghy ride ashore and had lunch at the
yacht club. Mark had a few beers with the lads and I bought a new bikini
with the girls so a good time was had by all ! We got back to the boat around 2pm in time to be disinfected
for black mussels. We now wait until tomorrow for this to work and then all the
boats will be heading into the marina at 15 minute intervals through a lock
gate that accommodates just one yacht at a time. Darwin looks very promising and we are looking forward to
the swimming pool, the open air deckchair cinema and Aquascene fish feeding at
high tide, once we have completed all our ‘jobs’ of course! Then we will be off camping for a few days in the And , most important, it is countdown now until we see the
grandchildren in Bali on 25th October. |
