On Tuesday, still trying to work out the logistics. Went to the laundrette , 30 mins walk away, past Carrefour supermarket!! All the mundane jobs take so long but there was a very nice bar offering coffee and cold drinks next door so it wasn’t too arduous. Met a lovely Irish lady from Cork who lives nearby and she was very helpful regarding travel from the airport. In the summer, she is inundated with family and friends and resorts to the laundrette for towels and bedding as water is rationed in the mountains.
Walked back via Carrefour, earmarked a few things for the coming week. Clocked a slipway midway marina and Carrefour for mooring the dinghy for a biggish shop. Turns out at low tide half of the slipway is a beach.
Decision made. C gets train to Pontevedra and we meet her there. Public transport is so cheap, obviously well subsidised by the government. Didn’t want to risk the car not being available.
So today, after 2 supermarket trips in different directions, the boat was well restocked with food and drink. Set off early to catch the ferry to Vigo then had a 30 walk uphill to train station. Saw parts of Vigo hadn’t explored before.

The city has a lovely vibe and a charming chap helped us with directions. It wasn’t obvious that the train station was below a big shopping centre!
Particularly liked the mural.
