Deep Cove
Hoisted the reefed main before we left the mooring, anticipating strong winds. Once we were out into the bay proper, let out some of the Genoa and had a cracking sail tacking to and fro across the bay. The wind was gusting F7 but no Atlantic swell in the bay, just chop caused by the wind.
C was on the helm for the best part of 4 hours. Quite an achievement- I usually put the autohelm on!
The entrance to the long cove only opened up once we were close inshore. Yet another anchorage taken up with numerous mooring buoys. A common feature these days. Some very unattractive cabins/ holiday homes here, but a safe haven from the strong north easterlies tonight.
Greeted by a type of dragonfly. Winning pic?
