Day eleven at sea, out in the middle of the Atlantic, with nary another boat to be seen.
What bliss, we have been awed by the sheer beauty of the planet, with sea, fascinating clouds which always seem to look like an animal, scintillating sunrises and stupendous sunsets. Day eleven should see us half way to our goal, later on this evening. Covered 136 miles yesterday, averaging 5.5 knots. No fish caught despite best efforts, but resorting to Rod and LIne resulted in lost tackle!
All are well, food is excellent, fresh stores diminishing but alas we still have some lettuce. Quite a few sail changes to try and get the best out of the mostly following wind  and currently flying at 7 knots using the big blue trade wind sail.
We plough an interesting course with the Sun rising dead ahead of us each dawn but at a later time,  and the Moon rising behind us after dusk and lighting up our nocturnal path, passing over our heads to wane off our bows.
Smoked salmon pasta a la Paul was a gastronomic masterpiece from the galley washed down with a good old Don Simon white (excellent Sommelier choice).
