Making good progress and moved up four places in the rankings to 88/157 - but its not a race!
No other boats in sight this morning and we are currently playing what does that cloud look like - Ian has the most vivid imagination...
We've been doing a bit of housework - I've been assigned the heads - all looking shipshape and Bristol fashion.
1280 nautical miles now covered with 1625 to go - we should reach halfway point Wednesday afternoon and that's our cue to open one of the two bottles of Champagne bought at Gatwick.
Fresh fruit and veg about to run out so it will be tins and what's left in the freezer - but we are very resourceful! It's a  good job we didn't factor fresh fish into the menu as its still Fish 1 -1 Mojo  excluding the suicidal flying fish - two of which have now landed on board - although only one made it below deck.
The winds blew up overnight with much changing of sails in the dark - always a stressful experience with much pulling on the wrong ropes as it's impossible to see the colours of the rope and when Cap'n Bligh is barking "pull the red one" - they all look black even with last nights full moon.
The vastness of the Ocean is awe inspiring  - ten days we have now passed on the high seas with nothing but water and sky and the very occasional other boat. The sense of solitude is vivid.
Paul's Sausage and Bean casserole was a treat and went down well with the crew - helped by the Tetra pack red wine which we agreed was ok for cooking but with little else doubles up as vin de table
Colin.
