Yup we are still in Alcaidesa Marine next to Gibraltar, whilst we were primed to leave for Las Palmas in the Canaries today the weather is not playing ball and as I type 35kt winds overhead gusting 50knt west of the Straits with a 5 metre sea swell to boot all not very pleasant so we have decided to postpone our departure, looks like the worst of the Storm should have pasted in the early hours so as we need to leave two hours after high water Gib to get best tide in the Straits we can leave either 1am or 1pm tomorrow, crew seem keen to get off so have agreed to poke head out at 1am to see what's happening.

Meanwhile we have set Gib alight last night going large in the Lord Nelson with dinner, rugby match which we though we would win up to the last few minutes and then followed by Karaoke till about 1am, and then night caps back on the boat which all led to sore heads this morning and not all of us recalling how we made it back to the boat, a great night out and good bonding for the crew before we get started.

During the day yesterday we provisioned for the 5 day trip and then cleaned the boat down to make sure all is ready for the departure whenever that may be. Think tonight we have agreed to tone it down a notch and eat on board so we are fighting fit for the task ahead.

Will post update tomorrow with progress report
