As i write this we have just overtaken a catamaran called 'Titom' as we cream through the shimmering waves heading westbound towards St Lucia, disturbing small but infinitely agile shoals of flying fish with Colin at the helm. Our speed has so far peaked at 9.7 knots, only downside, the aforementioned cat is not in our race/rally.
Earlier we took down a slightly flapping downwind sail in favour of a white Genoa 150% hence our increase in performance. Last night we cracked the 2,000 mile barrier around midnight, so a third of the way there in a week. Finished first gas bottle but 2 to go so should make port before cold fare. Also finished fresh milk this morning, so UHT, which i am told stands for Ultra Horrible Taste! Bread also on its last legs, so Paul just second proving two fresh loaves.
Weather holding up with lovely sunny days and serene starlit nights. Rota went slightly askew, but what the hell it's Sunday. Last nights 7 o'clock meal ( in daylight ) was another attempt at Sheepherders Pie which tried to escape out of the back of the gimballed oven, but saved by Paul. All plates were clean, so marked down as a success. I sign off now as lunch approaches and we look to be logging our best day so far. Bye for now and all missing our loved ones X  Sir Alec (Ian) Rose
