So Mojo still in Alcaidesa Marina and and we fly
out on Saturday to start the Atlantic leg. I'm still awaiting on updates
from the Rigger and Electrician both who have been typically Spanish with their
manana attitude to life but thing we will get there in the end with
a little chasing.
Big development is the crew change was Me, Matt, Adie and Ian and Ian has a
really bad back so has dipped out I thought we would be unlikely to find a
replacement at late notice but as luck would have it Hannah had booked an Egypt
holiday which she was having cold feet about so when I mentioned the trip she
was well up for it so we will no longer be four blokes on a boat but it bodes
well for diversity and inclusion and we are all really excited about out new
shipmate and have already flipped our menus to veggie which I'm sure we will be
all the more healthy for
Am still checking the weather apps, last week with the Atlantic low
pressure systems looked not good at all with 35 knot headwinds, now has all
calmed down to the extent that looks like lack of wind may be an issue for first
36 hours, these things can change quickly and are not always correct anyway so
always be prepared for worst case!
Have also checked the Orca situation and looks like Gladys and family have
moved up North and last sightings in the straits was 29 Sept so just the
shipping lanes to deal with and I am fully geared up for Orcas if they decide
they want to tale me on.
The daily blog will be live each evening from Saturday and I will be asking
crew to take turns with the blog so do tune in I'm sure will be better than my
usual splurge
Skip/Paul Looking forward to it with eager anticipation, lots to
sort and lots to think about
Will be posting daily blogs once we get out to Gib and
underway |
