Saturday 25th September
We left Morris Island early Friday morning
heading for the Albany Passage.
The Albany Passage is situated between the
mainland and Albany Island and when the tide is running in your favour it can be
a very fast short cut. We had had a very uncomfortable sail to the
entrance of the passage with 25-35 knots of wind throughout the night, with the
boat rolling from side to side. After a very uncomfortable night we
entered the passage just before
sunrise on a rising tide.

We rounded Cape York and passed
Possession Island. On this 3 mile long island is a monument of Captain Cook
taking possession of the east coast of New South Wales. From here Endeavour
passed through the strait now bearing her name.
