The contrast between our Christmas day
and your celebrations at home couldn't be anymore different I don't think. Today
has been possibly one of the hottest days so far whilst you still have snow on
the ground!
The Harper family awoke quite late due
to the previous nights activities and some of us were feeling a little worse for
wear. Thankfully the kids aren't as excited and awake at 6 am wanting to open
presents now that they're 23 and 24! We did the rounds in the anchorage and
ended up spending the day aboard Miss Tippy. It was fantastic as we were in
beautiful surroundings sipping champagne (sparkling wine) and Sheila was the
perfect hostess providing a steady flow of snacks.

  The evenings plans, as we had
discussed all day, were to venture ashore and eat at the only restaurant serving
Christmas dinner. It seems however that everyone else on Phi Phi Don had the
same idea and our plan back-fired! Instead we found a restaurant on the beach
front and had a delicious meal before we went to watch Thai boxing, as you do on
Christmas day! The Thai boxing advertised on the flyers was a bit of a lie
though as all we watched were white males fighting one another for 3 rounds so
that they could receive a free bucket of alcohol. It was still enjoyable
though!
