Roseau

15:16.838N 61:22.554W Friday Jan 8th ROSEAU After a short 3 hour sail we
arrived at Roseau the capital of Dominica. We were greeted by a boat boy called
Pancho who secured us to a mooring buoy for the evening. 5 boats had sailed
down from Prince Rupert Bay and a group of us decided to go into the Capital
for a wander around, so Pancho collected us from our boats and took us ashore
where he had arranged a taxi for us. We were dropped off at a fresh fruit and
vegetable market that ran from Friday evening through to Saturday evening. It
was a hive of activity and a great place to people watch as was the local bar!
We finished the evening off with a traditional Creole meal and Pancho was
waiting as arranged on the jetty to ferry us back to our boats. So useful! Tomorrow we head to Martinique.
