While waiting for the cinema in Arrowtown to open Dorothy Brown the owner suggested we go and spend the afternoon wine tasting and on route we would pass the famous Bungy bridge. The wine tasting was free so off we went.

We came across the bridge and witnessed people paying to jump, idiots. Who would have thought that we soon would join them.
After consulting the experts as to whether Paul should jump with his back problems it was decided we should go for it.
I think due to the fact it was were it all started, it was one of those things that had you not done it, later in life you would have wished you had.
So we jumped.

The historic Kawarau Bridge is home of Bungy pioneers AJ Hackett and Henry Van Asch's first commercial Bungy site. It was here in 1988 that the Bungy phenomenon began.
43meters above the stunning Kawarau River, this Bungy jump is still the most popular Bungy in New Zealand, attracting thousands of thrill -seekers and spectators every year.
