Carol and I took the dinghy ashore for Carol to have a look at old Corfu Town, do some gift shopping and have breakfast. We returned to the boat, lifted the dinghy, weighed anchor and set off for Lychnos on the mainland. Motorsail in very
light winds, jib and mail close hauled. As we got within 5nm of Lychnos the winds picked up to 20knts up the stern of the boat. Set the main up with a preventer for a good downwind run. Had we had a long run, I would have poled out the genoa and the jib. Anchored
on lea side of Agios Kyriakis, Lychnos. We had a lengthy swim to shore and back, then snacks with an Aperol Spritz before taking the dinghy ashore to have dinner at a beachside taverna. The beach here is finer pebbles and ok to walk on, as opposed to most
where larger pebbles make it difficult. Noted the water here is very clear, seeing the bottom in 10m depth very clearly. We all had a good sleep in millpond conditions.
