If all goes to plan, tonight is our last night in the UK!  There wont be a blog entry tomorrow Saturday 2nd August but hopefully something on Sunday if we can work it out (if nothing, then presume we haven't worked it out!).

It has been raining all day, we motored from St Mawes to a beautiful anchorage at "The Voose" here in the Helford River. This evening's washing up was done in rain water collected by the children via a tarpaulin in the cockpit; much to their amusement they collected 10+ litres in half an hour. Then somewhat damp we rowed ashore in the pouring rain to a beach for a few hours, however without any wind it wasn't chilly and at one point Isabelle was on her hands and knees in the shallow water just enjoying being! The rock pools were crystal clear and teeming with life and we stumbled upon some very creative beach art, thoughtfully built above the high water mark.

We celebrated our last night here by opening one of the 24 jars of home "canned" meats, prepared at Shalfleet and enough done for one a fortnight, or a special occasion. We have 16 chicken and 8 lamb meals.

The weather looks promising for tomorrow's departure, aimed for around 1.30pm, it is a 95 mile crossing, approx 19 hours, and we're aiming to go to Camaret (south of Brest) via the Chanal du Four, so need to get the tides right or we'll end up going backwards.

If you'd like to write to us, we'd love to hear from you; "sadlertc at gmail.com"
Cheers for now England, I wonder when we'll see you again.
