Half Way to Pitcairn

The pictures went. We’ve been sailing all afternoon into a NW Force 6 and making reasonable progress. It’s really irritating to look East (Astern) and North (Starboard) and see great patches of blue, while ahead to the West and South is nothing but grey. No sunset tonight. Dorodo pie for diner. The wind has carried on but keeps going WNW. There are enough gaps in the clouds for some really bright moonlight. It will be full in another three days or so. We’ve been motoring since
Today you could believe we’re in the Pacific. Warm and Sunny. Yesterday’s run was 158 miles, ¼ under engine and ¾ under sail. 580 miles to go so we’re well over halfway. |
