Last night Nik came back from the internet with a complete Nautical Almanac good till 2030. He is very determined to see the astro-navigation through. Both Nicks rushed out to spot a star while the horizon is still available but alas it’s a bit cloudy. We left at 10 or 11 depending on what time it actually is. Great confusion about springing forward or backwards with the Southern Hemisphere time change. We think we’re now on GMT – 4 hours. We’re puttering along on a cloudy but dry day. The Sou Chef is making his first Quiche. Nick has taken apart the anchor windlass box which is causing trouble and is working out as circuit diagrams to see if he can find where the fault might be.
