Starry Night. Wind is NE sometimes NNE force 6 so it’s forward of the beam but we are still sailing freely.   It’s slowly getting warmer and I find I have too many layers in the cockpit.  We expect the wind to go North tomorrrow later today.

The kettle survived the galley port hole shower but the toaster was unhappy. Steve stripped it down completely—he loves taking things apart—gave it a  freshwater bath, towel dried it, and now it no longer trips the main breaker and appears to be back to normal…only the fresh bread has finished.

Two of the missing machine screws from the boom have mysteriously reappeared on  deck in spite of a previous serious search, so now we are almost complete again machine screw wise…only missing one.

 The wind has settled in North Force 6 for now and the temperature has rocketed up to 21C.

Our daily run was 212 miles.  In the six days since leaving we have clocked up 1175 miles and in crow flying terms are over half way as Easter Island is another 1045. If we could keep this up all the way we’d be in on the 3^rd but it’s all about to change as by tomorrow we will encounter head winds and will have to resort to some long tacks.

We’ll probably get in between the 6^th and the 8^th, but that is pretty much speculation at this point.
