We left Ajaccio in little wind so motored for a while but happily some wind filled in allowing us some sailing into the bay off Port Pollo were we picked up a buoy for the night, which was free - just as well as it wasn't very pretty and a swell didn't make it that comfortable. The good news is that I found a man that sorted our fridge out in Ajaccio so we finally had a G&T with ice.

Although Bob, who left us in Ajaccio, will not believe it we had the first sighting for a long time of some wild life - A sword fish and then a couple of dolphins.

Today we moved on from Port Pollo with a great Westerly wind providing with the best sail since our crossing to Corsica. Having said that ominous black clouds built up with lightening flashing in the distance (which impressed Alison no end!!) resulting in some pretty hefty gusts at times. We managed to outrun the clouds and pulled into the bay of Figari. It is very quiet with only a wooden pontoon but there is a Captainerie in a modern building - a friendly soul and helpful. There are some lovely isolated beaches which we hope to visit tomorrow.
