Bob flies home tomorrow, so we up anchored early,
so as to be sure of a berth in one of the marinas in Palma.
Whilst we set off under motor in flat calm the wind
soon filled in from the North, so sails were set and with a flat sea we
made great progress.
The day was really made by the first wild life
we had seen all week. A sword fish leapt out of the water not 10 metres from the
boat, heading in the opposite direction. But not just once, five
times it leapt about a metre in the air, landing on its side with a great
splash. What a beautiful sight.
After a lovely sail we arrived early afternoon at
the Club Nautica as recommended by China Blue. We are booked in for two
nights Bob can get a taxi to the airport and we can have clean up and
restock before pushing on.
We had a great sight-seeing tour on an
open top London bus - so we now have a good feel for the town of
Palma.
We spent Bob's last evening out at one of the local
restaurants and then into a tiny Jazz club for a few more beers.
