After a great start and 18/20knot winds from the
west the wind once again dropped away after an hour or so. We dropped
back in the fleet as most of them put on thier motors whilst we plodded
on.
Luckily this was relatively short lived and the
wind picked up again to give us a steady 13/15knots of wind for the rest of the
trip. At 7to7.5knots of speed we slowly pulled back through much of the fleet,
dispite being the second slowest handicap wise - passing many of the bigger
boats.
We saw a few Dolphins but not as many as normal -
the water temperature has noticeable increase to over 18 degrees
now.
We are now safely tucked up in the fishing port of
Peniche were we stay for one day before heading off to Lisbon as next
stop.
