![]() ![]() Saturday morning we took in the view of all the
yachts anchored off Gustavia, the capital of St. Barthelemy.
![]() ![]() The largest was Abramovich's latest toy the 536' "
Eclipse" which made otherwise significant yachts appear very small. Rumour has
it that he wanted to fit Exocet missiles to " Eclipse" but as he did not "own" a
country he was not allowed- so he tried to buy St. Barth's!

Anse de Colombier
After checking in and taking a wander around
Gustavia we moved anchorage up to Anse de Colombier a quiet spot at the north
end of the island. Sunday was spent pottering about and snorkelling with the
turtles and identifying various fish we had not seen before.
Monday we moved back to Gustavia and among things
visited the duty free liquor store- with a litre of Gordon's gin at 8.30 euros
and cheap malt whisky it would have been a shame not to
have!
