A little late setting off - between more shopping
(!), marina dues and customs clearnace (Jeff/Chris will remember the three
little offices!!) - we left at 14:00 in heavy rain showers. Winds NE 25-27kn. A
strong beat to windward prooved too tiring - we truned towards St Kitts
(Saint Christopher). Dark was soon upon us so we decided not to pass south of
the islands (through "Nhe Narrows") we pushed on to pass north of St Kitts and
take shelter behing Sint Eustaius. Dropped anchor at 03:00 - not quite the sandy
bay as planned but ready for a much needed rest. Re-passage planning but back on
course for St Martin Monday. All is well. Phil &
