An even stronger south-westerly wind for crossing the sound between Martha's Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands - heading for Woods Hole in 27 knot winds! Ferry traffic passing by on the same route. Transiting Woods Hole at perfect timing for zeroi current still left high choppy waves as we pushed through and into Buzzards Bay (and some high tensions to steer through the disturbed water). Definitely not wanting to make that passage again! A quick reach across the Bay, making water and thence into the relative shelter of Aucoot Cove for a rest, an afternoon's anchorage and a good position to time the next difficult transit - Cape Code Canal!
