A day of leisure - or at least a day to organize some of the rest of our stay in Cuba. First on the list a walk to the local "Cedeco" - a small currency exchange shack - gladly accepting Euros and GB Pounds for CUC's (Cuban Convertible Pesos) - at an extremely good rate - although one has to "brave" some back-end side streets - certainly a different side of Havana! No problem, in fact as elsewhere, friendly and helpful locals.
A frustrating afternoon trying to find a tourist bureau that can book trips - second return to the hotel Acurieo only to find the tour agent doesn't visit anymore (despite a sign on the desk with hours of business)! Trying to book a coach to Trinidad or Ceinfeugos online indicated no seats until late next week!! We will have to search out the marina helpful and to see if he can find anything for us!!
Nevertheless, an evening of drinks as the sunset with friends from Black Swan was a pleasant way to say thanks and rounded off the day nicely.
