After our final anchorage of Deshaies on Guadeloupe we leave the French
Islands behind and arrive in Antigua 17th March. Eight hour of good
sailing hard into the wind, one reef into the main and a variable genoa, taking
some big breakers over the decks we reach Falmouth Harbour in Antigua, last time
we were here in 2011 we were in English Harbour. As we are dropping anchor
in the harbour we see we are behind Andromeda with Andrew and Susan an English
couple who crossed the same time as we did and who will be crewing with us on
Wings during race week. They are leaving to go to Guadeloupe and will
return in time for racing.
We check in with the authorities and meet up with Fred and Judy, Wings for
a brief visit and then back to QS as I have caught the dreaded bug and need my
bunk, also on the crossing we took salt water into the bilges and now need to
find where it is coming from
