Still in Bequia and with Easter approaching we teamed up with Miriam and Pat onboard their Sun Odyssey 45 to enter the Annual Bequia Easter Regatta, Terri & Gus, Robin & Cheryl made the crew numbers up to 8 and we are off to sail in the ‘Cruisers Class 2’ division.  First Day around the Bay and out to the small islands and back to Port Elizabeth Harbour, second day around Bequia race, Sunday day off to recover and then final day around the buoys in Port Elizabeth Harbour,  we had a great time, and once the handicap times were applied, (we tried to say our handicap was the crew but that didn’t work) to our finish times we came 7th over all in an entry of 15 yachts.  Bear in mind the yacht we are sailing is someone’s home so really aggressive sailing is not really an option (we did have to remind Pat once or twice) we didn’t do too badly.

A good end to the day..............

Now since the event was sponsored by Heineken and Mount Gay Rum (note the red hats) there was some serious parties to attend a the end of the days, the best being the Saturday Night at Daffodils with the Doc Adams Blues Band, we know Doc from Grenada, great dance music.....
