Arrived on the Lipari Island…
As usual, the blue dot is showing the position.
The review says — the nice area, gorgeous water,  the sand bottom…
One of the closest anchorages before the Lipari town.  ( But both the same application and the pilot guide say that there is no anchorage near the Lipari town at all … )
So, since the goal has been reached — we are on the Lipari Island — I’ve dropped the anchor…

I totally agree that the bottom is sand, with no trace of stones or grass… ( Which is rare these days, in that area… ;-))
Because of that, the water has a beautiful colour — more greenish then blue…  And transparent — in 25 ft water, one can see the bottom crystal clear…
The surroundings, on the other hand,  are a bit strange  for the ‘fantastic place’…  There are two abandoned  stone factories on the shore… Near the one — which was abandoned  a bit earlier,  in accordance with the guide,  there are old constructions on the bottom… Up to  200+ meters from the shore…

I have no idea what exactly that mean… But I have seen the poor catamaran today…  They anchored there, and survived the 20+ knots wind with no problem…  However, the time came to raise the anchor…. They have to call the divers, and as the diver arrived, it looks him nearly the whole load of his air tank  ( about 40 minutes ? ) to release the anchor…  Both left happily after…

Another event occurred on that crossing…
Long time lunch saver  — and sometimes, life saver ;-) — the Hamon, the leg,  which  has been with me since I’ve left Spain… finally found peace ( I hope ) at the bottom of the Sea:

Basically, that is al the news.  The weather keep changing. Though the days are still warm and nice, and the water is still refreshing and pleasant…
Today, the squall with 20+ knots passed by on top of the harbour… demonstrating vividly who is the actual  master and how quickly  the peaceful and quit relaxation playground may change into  turbulent and frustrating area…  But we survived, and staying for another night around…

The plans are — to move next to the Vulcano Island.  Most probably, to its NNW part… ( the Eastern part is reported to be very deep… ).
But it also depends on the weather… And to get the descent weather for the area… hmm… it is a challenge, to say at least…
But tomorrow is another day, and we will see.

Those are all news for now.  Everything is under control and good.
Talk to you later,
M.
