We are on starboard tack, doing our best to
get to the 41 degrre North and above ...
The reason is simple -- the Intellegence
reporded that the window will be cut off below 41 on Wednesday morning...
Cut off - meaning completely, no
wind, nada... And who is going to be below 41N latitude -- not
going to move anywhere for a while... Unless motoring...
And as we got the report -- late last evening or
early night -- we tacked, and gaining the latitude since. As quickly as
possible, at any cost... If the wind stays with us -- as promissed --- we
should be there by the evening...
The cost -- we would be moved West at the same
time... And according to the strickted rules of geometry -- we are not going to
make to much progress ( in distance ) to our destination...
It is an early dawn here...
I was wrong, the Moon is here... and probably it
will be there for another couple of days... But there are so many clouds,
that most of the time -- the moon is just invisible... And if the moon light is
not seen -- forget about the stars...
But even if they were -- not fun... To be in the
cocpit in all weather gear -- the only way to stay warm -- no, thanks!
The message will be short. The reason obvious
-- I'm tired. Beating definitely not my favourite course of sailing...
But somebody have to do it, so there is no
complains.
We - the boat and myself -- in a good mood
and happy!
Talk soon,
M.
