The historic tour of Carriacou was not what it was cracked up to be. Even
so we had a tour of the island in Simon’s ‘taxi’. We all just about fitted in
but the back seat passengers just avoided carbon monoxide poisoning from the
leaky exhaust. We had a lovely meal at the Slipway Restaurant in the
evening before making an early get away the next day.
Another up wind passage to Union Island on this occasion, a pleasant sail
in a good 4/5. Sally is really getting into this sailing business and feeling
quite happy. Not so sure about the rubber dinghy bit though. Going back to the
boat after the Carriacou meal in the dark we were slightly lost and then ran out
of petrol. Hey ho, out with the oars.
We are on a mooring buoy in in Clifton on Union Island. We will check in at
customs and Immigration get spruced up at the local yacht club and probably head
out to the Tobago Cays. A marine park comprising a number of uninhabited islands
and surrounding reefs.
