This morning we headed off for Martinique. We made it as far as Marigot Bay
about 8 miles north of where we started. The forecast was changeable and so it
was, about every 10 minutes. I thought that we had plain sailing from now on,
that was a mistake. We had squall after squall. One blast almost knocked us
flat. We were passing near to a whale watching boat at the time. I think that
they were more alarmed than we were. They followed us for a few minutes
just to check we were OK but we were fine. Well that is except Pat who retired
below with a saucepan, not to rustle up something special, well I suppose she
did in a way. Things didn’t look too pleasant for the rest of the day so we
decided to give it a miss and pull into Marigot Bay. Very pretty but a bit
developed.
We live to fight another day.
