Grenada - Bye bye for now

The Travels of Running Tide

We are tucked up now in the Port Louis Marina, St George for the next few
nights before moving around to the south coast and a haul ashore for RT’s summer
break. We have a few jobs to do on her, nothing serious just the usual boring
routine jobs like sorting out the varnish, cleaning and painting her bottom and
servicing the diesel.
We hear that the weather is unseasonally awful back home so accept our
commiserations. We have to take some stick here from time to time too. Its
trying to rain but it tea and biscuits on deck at the moment.
Both Norm and I thought our last passage from Puerto Rico to Grenada was a
fitting end to our year’s sailing. A committing, stressful at times passage but
with a thoroughly satisfying outcome.
We are closing down the blog now and hope that you have enjoyed following
the Travels of Running Tide. We will be back when RT gets itchy feet
again.
A few final photos from our last passage.
View of our Chart Plotter - Trying to hold a course for Grenada but being
swept away, not going too fast either as we stem the flow which is moving from
right to left. A back eddy from Grenada has allowed us to improve our heading
from 180 to 138 temporarily
