Have made excellent progress for the first day to Noumea and a very comfortable ride with 10-20kt winds from the aft quarter..

 

We had a great time at LHI but will write some more n this with pictures once in Noumea.

 

We had a bit of an exciting exit from LHI with the engine stalling just outside the passage.   Luckily there was enough wind in the right direction that we were able put up the headsail and progress in the right direction away from the reef but could have been rather nasty if it it had happened only a few minutes earlier.   The culprit was water in the fuel that we picked up at LHI.  After emptying the water from the fuel filter bowl several times and changing the fuel filter all is well in our world again and the diesel is running like nothing had happened.
