Bilal and Mark arrived on schedule last night in time for supper and to share a birthday drink or two with me. Bilal is returning for his third stint onboard, whilst Mark is having his first RAVEN experience and joins off the bench in place of Lucie who is not able to do this leg as originally planned.
After an early morning pre departure antigen test , Bilal needed food and strangely got stuck into a veggie burger and chips at 10am. We left the marina later in the morning, anchoring mid afternoon in my old favourite of Valley Trunk Bay, which has been the calmest ever today. A swim to the beach and walk ashore followed by supper onboard on a lovely evening was a suitable prep for the passage to Bermuda and also my last night in the Caribbean which I am feeling a bit sad to be leaving, but it is time to move on and start heading home.
We clear customs ashore in Virgin Gorda in the morning and then get out back into the Atlantic for the passage up to Bermuda which should take about a week.
