Having rounded it by sea - see blog of 1 Sept- and powered by Betty until wind died and we got the engine on , given the position of Cabo Roca as the most western point on the continent of Europe , I thought that a land viewing was also needed.
This took place last Sunday and was also the first real trip for Pina the bike . The map doesn’t do it justice- suffice it to say that it was damn hot and steep …..a distance of 33.28 miles for the trip , temp of 79 and elev gain of 2,467 for the data minded reader (with apologies for the Stone Age units!) .
Great view from the lighthouse- the one yacht visible looked very insignificant on the big blue ocean!
