Woo hoo, we had tickets to some of the athletics heats. But first some athlete spotting at the BBC studios in the Olympic Park. (Yes, they were built out of shipping containers with strategically placed gaps for balconies. So, Gold Medal winning Team GB show jumpers……..

Later Gary Lineker could just be seen in the glass studio on top of the pile of blue boxes……. Yes, really that is his head you can just about see towards the left.

We saw the 110m men’s hurdles and were intrigued to be given the reaction times for each race. That is the time between the ‘Bang’ and the athletes foot leaving the starting blocks.
