29TH April
Mark dived to perform his visual check on the
saildrives only to find to our horror that both the anodes protecting the
saildrives had practically disappeared.There
is no way we can set sail anywhere until we can be lifted out of the water and
both anodes replaced.Luckily after a quick call to the yard next to the marina
they confirmed that they had a space on the morning of the 30th to lift us yet again out of the water using the large
travel lift which can lift up to 275 tons.
30Th April
An early start sees us in the waiting area for the

operation. Bottom not looking too
bad,slight fouling but oh!! those anodes. Closer inspection of anode
or what is left of it after only 7 months of being back in the
water! After a power After a power hose and renewing
of anodes which we were able to do ourselves.Rafikis bottom looks very
nice.Hopefully no more delays!!!Fingers crossed. |
