All got up early to sort out things for Samanthas
departure.Took the Metro to the airport and said our farewells to Samantha,we
will miss her.
We took the Metro back into the City centre and
decided to visit the IMAX theatre where we watched an underwater documentary. The
architectural design of the building is very avant_guard and the whole complex
is quite eye catching. On our return to thre marina had a ber with Jenny and Mick
from Escaper, they will be over wintering in Barcelona.
5th September
Winds and weather certainly changing and the
predicted rain for this region is imminent.Started blowing a "hooly"in the early
hours of the morning around 30 knts and begining to strengthen, did not feel like
we were on a pontoon as where we are is quite exposed.Everyone that we could see
where up on their decks tightening lines and adjusting fenders etc.The Austrian
family in a large cat opposite us came over to give us a hand to winch and
fender off " Rafiki" as we were being blown onto the pontoon.Mark and Andreas
then went off to help other boats that were in need of a hand. Then the rain
began to fall,Samantha had timed her visit well.Valencia apparently is renowned
for heavy rains mid September!
That evening was spent in the company of the
Austrian family on board Rafiki exchanging experiences. They are on their way to
Brazil with 7 children o board.
