The Frigatebird colony has over 2500 pairs of birds and is the largest
colony in the Caribbean.
The males puff out their throats pouches to attract a partner.
Frigatebirds only ever lay one egg and the pair both raise chick until the
male abandons them and heads off to the Galapagos Islands to have another family
there!
Frigatebirds live for 45-50 years and the chicks take over a year to become
independent so last years young still
depend on their mothers as well as this years
Palm beach is 11 miles of virtually empty beach.
