We arrived a few days ago but have spent most of our
time in the marina and the town. It has been a 4 day celebration for 30 years
of independence with music, fireworks etc.. We hired a car yesterday and drove all round the
island ( We started at the ‘
Independence day celebrations – all wearing
their best costumes (brought with early missionaries as they felt they needed
to cover up)…
Do you want to see a Gekko? Here you are and it lands
on your shoulders.. Do you want to see snakes.. well here you
are….!!! Steve is very brave….

beach.. we had lunch there.. (no fee to stand on the Paid for the priviledge of people using
it. We had to pay equivalent
beach… To £1.50 each to go on his land to see the view

(we were looking for some caves) museum with 2nd
world war bits of pieces.. mostly of aeroplanes..you can pay extra
And snorkel over a submerged plane..
Traditional Lovely traditionally built houses (sheds). Very
