We left Marigot bay yesterday morning
just after 6am and headed for St Vincent.. Several dolphins came to play
with the boat which was great. Weather was good, very sunny so a lot of us
got a bit sunburnt. The boat is sailing well since we cleaned
her and applied a new coat of antifoul. We arrived in Bequia just after
4pm and tied onto a buoy in a lot of rain..
Last night we had a barbeque in a local restaurant and had
great rum punch at a very cheap price, about £1.40 per drink, not bad...
Beer is about £1. a bit cheaper than St Lucia and the Rum
Punch is better......
Today we hired a taxi for an hour to take us round some of the
sights. We drove to the top of the hill and had great views accross the
bay.. We went to a turtle sanctuary and saw lots of baby hawksbill turtles as
well as older ones.. There was also a turtle hospital, where there
was only one in each compartment as they had been fighting..
Rainbow approaching Bequia - it was clear we were going to get
wet....
