The engine overheats. Twice now we have been on our way to San Blas. Both times the engine has overheated. After the first time we thought we had fixed it, and went happily out this morning. We had even hired a prof mechanic. But one hour outside the breakwater it happened again. We had no options but to turn back and reopen our account with the marina. OK, tomorrow Greg, the mechanic will help us solve the problem, just have to diagnose it first...

 

On the good side, we have made aquaintance with the sailors of three Swedish boats. Se the page “Cruisers we met” for their blogs. Even if we were quite depressed over the motor for an hour or so, we look at the bright sides also. Working on problems in the boat is part of cruising life, not the part we love though. Meeting new people, on the other hand, is among the best parts. Yesterday we met Canadian Terry, whom we also met last year. She taught us a lot about the birds and the animals in the jungle here.
