Everyone is up early to have some coffee & breakfast before the day gets busy!

Around 08:00 the fuel guys arrived, and we started to top-up straight away. Whilst refuelling the last things were stowed away inside ready for departure.

0905 – Adios Mindelo!

Lines dropped & ready to go! We have safely departed Mindelo.

Whilst slowly making our way out of the bay all you can see is the excitement on everyone’s faces – over the pond we go!

The Cape Verde’s are known for the amazing sea life, rocky landscapes and fishing is a massive sport here! So, as we turn the corner of the headland, our lines were already in the water waiting for our first catch of this last leg.

We didn’t have to wait long for our first double-up on Dorado’s!

The conditions are good. We have steady 14 – 18kts of wind with calm sea conditions.
